THE STORY OF GHANTAKARNA In the middle of Sri mountain there was a city named Brahmapuram. A thieve stolen a bell in the temple of the city. While he was running with fear a tiger killed him. Then monkeys captured the bell from his hand. Monkeys were ringing the bell. The people of the city were afraid about the sound. They felt that there was Ghantakarna on the moun-tain; he used to eat human beings. The king of the city knew the fear of the people. He announced a reward for the man who can catch Ghantakarna. Then a servant maid came forward. She went to the mountain and thretened the monkeys. She caught the bell. She came to the king and showed the bell. The king admired her courage, and facilitated her.
